Master of Business Administration (MBA) is one of the most sought-after postgraduate programme in India among the aspirants who wish to pursue higher studies. Some of the institutions offers MMS (Master of Management Studies), PGDM or PGPM programmes in place of an MBA.

Regardless of the educational background, aspirants who hold a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognised university with a minimum required percentage can apply and appear for the entrance examination conducted by the competent authorities every year. Aspirants who obtain minimum required percentile as specified by the individual institutions move to the next stage of the admission process.

Interesting Fact: While all the IITs accept the CAT percentile for admission, their eligibility criteria differ from one another. Aspirants Bachelor’s degree stream is the most important factor which is taken into consideration.

CAT is not the only way to gain access to the India’s top business schools. There are some other entrance examinations which are prominent among MBA aspirants. These entrance examinations are conducted by specific institutes but the entrance scores can also be accepted by other associate institutes as well.
